Respect

Kia ora,

In some days there are ups and downs and that's when people don't show respect. Our Principle, gets frustrated with the things that have been happening in school. So we had a talk and made a deal to show respect to the class and also we want it to be special because of Mrs Lee is leaving this school. In this video I made a video using biteable to talk about respect.
In St Bernadette's this is one of the greatest things we should be doing in school. Some of you may not know the CERR values but it means Compassion, Excellence, Responsibility and Respect. It's the C.E.R.R value for this term! Not just in school but also, at home and anywhere. Be respectful and always be kind to everyone. I hope this helps you because I want to be in a positive and loving in class next year so I can leave with amazing memories, that we have made, over the year :)

Bear template (copy): Respect on Biteable.

And the winner is...

Kia ora,

WALT: Combine prior and new knowledge to come up with new ideas.

In class for this term we have been doing reading groups and each group has a passage their reading about, my group is Sophie and we're reading: And the winner is... this story is about Chris: He slammed the door, He cheats in games, He lied about doing the dishes, don't trust Chris to do anything. Dad asked Chris to mow the lawns but he didn't.

For this activity we had to 'Design a new, fun lawn mower that would make kids want to mow the lawns'.

Resolution for Christmas!

Kia ora,

L3: Mary-Maria the first and the most perfect disciple of Christ.

WALT: Recall how Mary heard the word of God and acted on it.

For R.E this week we have been looking at Mary and how Jesus became a disciple of God. So the whole class created a google drawing about your resolution for Christmas. I made a google drawing  at got a bible verse from Philippians 1:7-8 and kinda made it my own resolution for Christmas.

What  is your Resolution for Christmas? Share this with your family as well!

Watch this Space!

Kia ora,

WALT: Combine prior and new knowledge to come up with new ideas.

In class for this term we have been doing reading groups and each group has a passage their reading about, my group is Sophie and we're reading: Watch this Space, is this about an artist called Janet de Wagt. two of the four hundred children who drew the pictures were Paddy and Declan Smith, of port Chalmers School. The harbour is right beside his school.

For this activity we had to 'Design a mural to go on a wall at your school. Use drawing and labels to explain your ideas. Make a flow chart to showing what you would have do to get it done!

Dear Santa

Kia ora,

For writing my class had a choice to write about any type of writing what we have been looking for the past year. Everyone had to make a google doc or do it on paper. There was heaps of categories we could write about. So I decided to write to Santa what I want for Christmas.... this took me a wee bit to make!

Dear Santa,
All I want for Christmas…. is my family to stay as a family and not be separated. We all know that we have our own lives to live but, please we I want anyone to get hurt or suffer because they miss their family! My family is not perfect but we can still fix all of our problems. My family is my life basically, I don’t want my sister to move to Australia, I don’t want anything to tear apart my family.

My second wish is, my #1 favourite teacher Mrs Lee, to have a great time at Wigram primary. We will miss her like she will miss us, please Santa I don’t won’t her to leave this school…. she means a lot to me (I mean a lot)! Mrs Lee is the kindest teacher in the world Iv’e ever met, sometimes I might make bad choices but she always show love and compassion to me and others. I will especially miss her when I’m at school. I don’t really understand why she has to leave? We were having such a great time together when she was my teacher at St Bernadette’s. I’m really emotional about it, if you bring it up I’ll probably cry until she gives me a hug! :)

Please Santa help me, be more loving and more passionate!

 From your,

 Favourite Jorja!
